NSS Advocacy Center
The NSS Advocacy Center serves as the central hub for mobilizing public support and legislative engagement in space policy. As part of the National Space Society’s broader mission, this page connects members and supporters with resources to influence space policy. Through avenues like the Advocacy Action Center and March Storm, it empowers citizens to contact Congress, participate in organized advocacy events, and stay informed on key space-related issues. The Advocacy Center also provides educational resources on space advocacy basics, helping individuals make their voices heard in their communities and in Washington DC, so that they can contribute to the advancement of space exploration and development. Whether it’s contacting elected officials, participating in legislative events like March Storm, or staying informed on key issues, the Advocacy Center helps mobilize public engagement and amplify the voice of the space community. NSS is nonpartisan and does not endorse parties or candidates.
NSS advocacy is conducted in a variety of ways, including:
- Phone/email/text alerts relative to legislative issues
- Participating in alliances such the Alliance for Space Development (ASD)
- Sponsoring legislative events such as March Storm (jointly with the Space Frontier Foundation and ASD)
