The National Space Society’s chapters provide a voice for space in their communities around the globe. Special interest chapters also provide a gathering place for those everywhere to focus on a theme or specific subject. Our chapter volunteers are the heart of this outreach effort. Each chapter is a group of space enthusiasts who have joined together for camaraderie, education, outreach, advocacy, or whatever focus its members create for it.

How does the National Space Society support its chapters?

The NSS Chapters Committee

The NSS Chapters Committee fosters productive relations between the chapters and the National Space Society. It is comprised of volunteer NSS national and chapter leaders. The committee monitors chapter and NSS programs and initiatives. The chair of the chapters committee reports to the NSS vice president of chapters.

Chapters Benefits

The National Space Society provides printed and digital media and promotional materials. See the Chapter Resources page.

Chapter Annual Reports

All chapters are required to submit an annual report to the society. See the Chapter Annual Reports page.

Chapters’ Assembly

The chapters assembly was created by the chapters to share information and support one another. It holds monthly online meetings and it also helps with communication to the entire NSS team.
