Dr. Autry highlights the emergence of commercial space firms like Rocket Lab. However, government subsidized operations in various countries have a real potential to put their competitors out of business, dramatically setting back the growth of the commercial space industry. Even Rocket Lab and SpaceX are not immune to these pressures. NSS believes that open and fair competition is the way that technology advances best, and is looking for ways to ensure that this occurs on an international scale.
