SUCCESS! Thanks to all who called in to support the Space Solar Power amendment. The amendment was adopted by the committee this morning, so no further calls are necessary.
This marks the first time in decades that a Congressional bill has addressed Space Solar Power.
We’ve gained a key supporter in Rep. Kevin Mullin of California’s 15th District, the amendment’s sponsor. And NSS position papers played a key role in informing him of the importance of Space Solar Power. HR 2899 is a bipartisan bill and is expected to clear the Committee tomorrow. We don’t expect any challenges in the House of Representatives, but the bill’s future in the Senate is less clear.
Still, the bill is a major victory for Space Solar Power. Thank you for your support!
