Myrna Coffino
National Space Society Board of Directors
Myrna Coffino is the National Space Society’s Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Representative to the United Nations. She attends meetings of the UN Department of Public Information and meetings of NGOs, and is working on projects involving bringing space technology to bear on environmental protection and sustainable development issues in UN member countries.
Myrna is a real estate broker in Manhattan, where she has helped relocate two Fortune 500 companies (each exceeding 50,000 square feet). The facility management work for their out of town location involved the newest technologies in advertising and marketing, as well as in the book publication global environment.
She has managed a 38-story high rise owned by Glenwood Management that includes a medical center and brownstone complex. She has also worked as purchasing agent for two Manhattan construction firms (Carlyle Construction and Turner Construction) and in contract administration at United Artists and Paramount.
Her background includes study in behavioral psychology and she has a strong interest in archaeology and anthropology. She is currently working on a volunteer project with professionals in the field involving upper Paleolithic to Neolithic migration patterns.
