WEEK 7

Building the space settlement

OBJECTIVE: To design the interior of the space settlement; allocate areas for growing food, recreation, housing and industry; The final design touches that would make the orbital space settlement a very nice place to live.

CONTENT AREAS: Natural resources; Environmental quality; Natural and human-induced hazards. Personal and community health; Engineering and technological design; problem solving.

Now that you have done the orbital calculations, and determined ways on how to meet physiological needs of the people including gravity and shielding it is time for "interior decorating". You are finally ready to build the space settlement. Congratulations... In this lesson you will design the interior of your orbital space settlement and provide the materials, and methods to build it.
