Washington, DC Dec.
3, 1999- The
National Space Society, in association with Starport.com, will
provide web visitors with continuous coverage of the NASA Mars
Polar Lander mission beginning today, NSS Executive Director Pat
Dasch announced.
NSS's web site will provide vistors the latest news on the historic
third ever landing on the red planet, with news, feature stories,
video, and real-time imagery and pictures from the NASA Jet
Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California. "We hope visitors to
our award-winning web site will follow this landing right down to
the surface and through the first important images that the craft
will return to Earth," Dasch said. "It promises to be both an
important scientific mission as well as an exciting one," she
added. NSS will also bring visitors official NASA press kits,
mission plans, and graphics to better understand the Polar Lander's
mission. Visitors can log on to
